Why is Sex Education Important?

Who have us received great sex education? Was it good or did you even get any? Most of us learned about sex through friends, TV, or the internet.

When speaking to my peers, I always hear the same thing, “If I have kids, I am going to give them a comprehensive education about sex.” Most of us are trying to figure out things once we become sexually active. How is that fair?!

When you are waiting to get your drivers license, do you just get in the car and see if you can start it and start driving? No, most of us, had some type of training like a school and tests that we had to pass in order to get a permit. There is so much that comes with driving; safety, maintenance, skill, etc. Why isn’t sex treated the same way? Why is it something that we all think about, but have no way of finding answers to our questions?

I’m getting my certificate in sex education right now and I am so excited to get out there and start helping people with questions they want to know and reducing stigmatism and shame when it comes to sex. I have two courses already in the works that I am working on. I see in the future having courses where you can see them online to view in your place of choosing. If you have any questions you have always wondered about, please let me know. We all have questions, kinks, and curiosities about the secret world of sex. My hope is that sex will no longer will be a secret.

If you have any questions, contact me. I would love to look at it and see how I can answer that for you. Whether you engage in sexual activity or not, it is always a good idea to be informed. When you go to school or work, there is always practice fire drills in case there is a fire. The topic of sex affects us even if a person chooses to never have sex. I look forward to the future and hope to hear from you!
